CL Find. Words fail me. Wrong, so wrong, on so many levels.
I only stumbled across it in looking for a low-rust late-run Corvair Monza. This, it arises, is not it.

One of my favorite Gambler 500 memories was pulling a high-centered Corvair on a Blazer chassis off of a burn, with the RallyMetro.

I haven’t seen this one. But I’ve seen 50s chevys and fords lifted like this. I don’t know why I like these but I can’t look away. Its beautiful.

There is something about it. I also assume the car was destined for the scrapyard anyway, so probably no harm done.

I can see it on a G-Wagen chassis...

Exactly this. There was an article I read, m
aybe on the front page or somewhere else. But someone theorized that in the future, many older cars could be saved by using electric drivetrains. Especially niche cars like the Corvairs where the
people with experience working on them will someday
be gone completely. Really interesting stuff.

For cars that aren’t rare, it’s only a good thing. These aren’t of special historical significance, they are just old cars, made in the tens or hundreds of thousands, with thousands still rotting away in barns and fields. If it keeps a few more from ending up as Chinese toasters, we should all support it.
